End of the Semester

Sooooo . . . I'm still running behind these days.  But I am happy to say that it is for a good reason.  My last semester of school is over in about two weeks!!!!  Two weeks!!!!  I can't believe how fast November has flown by.  Don't worry - I haven't spent the whole time working/finishing school.  We have spent a lot of time enjoying ourselves as a family too.

Fast re-cap (to be followed by pictures at some point):

Disco and I went to Vegas to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary.  Our trip was fabulous and Elvis even renewed our vows. And yes, there is a video. :)  We took fall pictures before the leaves dropped off the trees.  The kiddos had Thanksgiving programs and parties at school.  We tailgated for a Hogs game.  Thanksgiving and Birthdays with family.  And of course the random silliness and chaos documented through film :)

Maybe I will be able to post some pictures and updates before my final presentation.  But if not then I may just have to participate in the "12 days of catch-up blog posting" in December.  Wish me luck! :)

HALLOWEEN 2011

Our family attended catlady's annual Halloween party.  The decorations were FABULOUS!!  Food was awesome and it was a fun time for all.  This year Disco was, well Disco (sporting his 70's attire), big sis and I were decked out in 80's outfits, and little man was Frankenstein.

For Halloween night big sis was a witch and little man was Frankenstein again.  We trick or treated at our neighbors' houses and then headed up the hill to a road in our neighborhood that is closed for an excellent trick or treating experience.  Families take over the road on foot and residents have parties in their front yard.  Adults walk along with their own treats in hand while kiddos run from door to door begging for candy.  We met up with some friends from big sis' school and had yet another year of Halloween fun. :)

One of our neighbors has a BIG display
the kiddos LOVE to visit every year! :)

Fabulous Fall Activities #4

So this catch up post for fall activities includes at family trip to the pumpkin patch with some church/daycare friends and little man's Halloween party at school.  The party was a great way to make up for missing his field trip.  Those kiddos are so sweet to each other and look out for each other even at 3 years old.  They were SOOOO excited about the food and candy.  Although the lighting is terrible in the classroom and I didn't get the best pictures . . .

Fabulous Fall Activities #3

And catch up post #3:  This fall we also went on a pumpkin patch field trip with big sis' class.  Unfortunately they cancelled little man's first field trip :(

Big sis painted her pumpkin at school so we couldn't use it for making pumpkin pie or carving.  So Disco and the kiddos picked up another pumpkin at the store for carving.  The kiddos loved "scooping the goo!"

Finally, big sis and I hung out in the hammock one beautiful fall afternoon.  She had to practice her scary face for our upcoming Halloween adventures.  It cracked me up!

Fabulous Fall Activities #2

For our second fabulous fall activity post I wanted to document our trips to the State Fair and Boo at the Zoo.  Both were a big hit with the kiddos!

We went to the fair with some friends on $1 night.  Disco was sick and had to miss the activities.  But the kiddos had lots of fun and even though big sis was hesitant about a few of the rides they had a great time.

We like to visit Boo at the Zoo on the opening night.  The crowds are small and the kiddos enjoy the zoo all decked out for Halloween.  This year big sis made sure we entered the costume contest - we won third place.  :)

Fun times at the state fair
